5RRO is the power of 5Rhythms moving through diverse communities as one tribe.

The 5Rhythms is currently practiced by many thousands of people all over the world. While a seemingly simple process, it nevertheless facilitates deep and unending explorations, moving the dancer beyond self-imposed limitations and isolation into new depths of creativity and connection. Each rhythm — Flow, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness — is interpreted by individuals in a uniquely personal way, opening them to a new sense of freedom and possibility that is both surprising and healing, exhilarating as well as deeply restorative. It is, in essence, “exercise for the right brain.”

5Rhythms Reach Out (5RRO) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers the 5Rhythms movement practice to diverse communities as a way to transform chaos and crisis into connection and creativity. Founded in 2007 by Gabrielle Roth who serves as Artistic Director and Board Chair,
the 5Rhythms Reach Out is centered in New York City and serves globally.

Gabrielle Roth is the creator of the 5Rhythms and The Moving Center Inc., the vision and vehicle of her body of work. Since the mid-1960s, her unique perspective and passion have stretched from the dance floor to the pages of three best-selling books, more than 20 percussion-based albums, and a vibrant body of experimental theater work. Now an international institute, The Moving Center oversees the teaching of her work globally, and has certified over 300 teachers worldwide. Gabrielle is currently teaching experimental theater in New York and training others to use her methods within artistic, educational, and healing contexts.


Gabrielle has been featured in Bazaar, Donna Karan’s Woman to Woman, Utne Reader, Self, Elle, Mademoiselle, Conscious Dancer, The New York Times, Shape and many other national publications. She has served as a distinguished faculty member of Kripalu, Esalen Institute, Omega, amongst many other international institutes.

5RRO Board of Directors includes:  Linda Goldstein - CEO of
Original Artists;  Donna Karan - Fashion Designer, Entrepreneur, and Founder of the Urban Zen Initiative;  Hans Li - President of Waka Foundation;  Bruce Richman - Lawyer and Founding Partner of Inspired Philanthropy; and  Gilbert N. Segel - Attorney CPA.

5RRO Advisory Board includes:  Murat Armbruster - Entrepreneur & Financier;   Rachel P. Goldstein - Founder and President of The Agent of Change Network;  Ina Meibach - Theatre Producer;  and Jeremy Whitt - Founder and CEO of Net Giver.
